Everyone,

Our first full week of the school has run its course and thankfully we have ended with a break in the dreadfully humid heat that it started with. 

Because of that unusual heat some concerns had arisen regarding movement classes, lunch outside and pick-up time.  We quickly cleared out the covered space beside the "old" office so that movement classes could take place out of the sun.  Also, while the preference for lunch is to be outside and the intention for pick-up is a walk back through the garden, teachers understand that they can use their discretion and eat indoors or use the paved path if the heat is intolerable.

One change you will notice Monday is that the orange "ribbons" along the garden path will be gone.  Everyone has adjusted so well that this visual reminder is no longer needed. Speaking of the garden path, I want to thank Farmer Tony for his offering of melons and his apprentice Dorothy for her offering of pumpkin (from our garden) bread along the way. 

There will be garden workdays this Saturday and Sunday from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. for anyone who would like to show their appreciation to the garden.

Please take advantage of the break in the weather to help out if you can.

Since we are talking about eating, we want to remind everyone that orders for food need to be into the office by noon on the day before:
