Lantern Walk was a Success

The Festival working group would like to thank the community for joining us for a very successful and beautiful event Friday evening.  With such a great turn out we realized that we needed to have more serving tables and more room to sit around the fire.  Next year we plan on taking all feedback and working on making it even better.  Thank you for joining us and being part of this wonderful community. 

DMS Community Members – Looking for some fun?  Sign up to help at our Fresh & Easy Shopping Night Fundraiser Wednesday, December 1!

On Wednesday, December 1, between 4 and 8 p.m., DMS is hosting a Shopping Night at the Fresh & Easy store located at 425 W. Baseline Road in Tempe.  (Baseline & Kyrene)  Five percent of all proceeds sold at that store between 4 & 8 p.m. that day will go to DMS to support teacher training! This is on top of the $1 we will receive for every $20 receipt collected between now and December 31, 2010. 

We need your help!

To make this event a success, we need approximately ten volunteers to sign up for a two hour shift that evening, either 4 – 6 p.m. or 6 – 8 p.m.  Once there, you will help bag groceries, answer questions about our school, pass out Winter Faire fliers, pass out tasty samples, entice customers to drop their receipts in our collection box and whatever else the Fresh & Easy management can come up with that will put a smile on the face of their customers.

Don’t miss this opportunity to participate in a fun activity that supports a great cause!

If you can help, please email me at amyb@arizonawaldorf.org by Wednesday, November 24 to let me know which shift you want to join.  I will then  confirm with you and pass on any additional information I receive from Fresh & Easy.

Calling all DMS community members who shop at Fresh & Easy!

If you shop regularly at Fresh & Easy, please consider arranging to do your shopping at the Baseline/Kyrene store in Tempe on December 1 between 4 and 8 p.m. to make our Shopping Night an even greater success.  And keep bringing in your receipts to the school office through December 31, 2010.
