Congratulations the winners of our October Tax Credit contest!  There was a three-way tie between the Hayes family, the Baker/Weibel family and the Pollock/Moneyhon family, each of whom brought in one full tax credit.  The winners will each receive produce and herbs from our garden.  The school as a whole brought in six tax credits during the month of October, for a total of $1700 towards enrichment programming.

Bring in the most tax credits in November and you may be the lucky winner of eggs from our happy chickens!  Each of our tax credit contests this fall features a gift from one of the DMS areas supported by tax credits, which include gardening, animal care, movement, handwork, woodwork, movement, field trips and more.

On the 2nd of November, the Spanish Department hosted the Día de los Muertos Potluck Picnic community event.  The intention was to recreate the atmosphere of a traditional Day of the Dead Hispanic celebration.  It was quite a success!  Read more in the next Seed.
