Located on a beautiful, 10-acre campus at the foot of South Mountain, the Desert Marigold School (DMS) opened as an independent Waldorf initiative in 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona. We received our charter from the State of Arizona in 2002.

Our biodynamic garden, pond, and resident farm animals compliment our commitments to sustainability and environmental education programming. As a tuition-free K-12 program, we meet Arizona State Standards within a rich curriculum inspired by Rudolf Steiner’s pedagogical philosophy, the foundation for Waldorf education.
 
Our high school program continues a curriculum that is inspired by Waldorf education and adds a new grade each year through Fall 2012. High school graduation credits meet college preparatory requirements and prepare our graduates for a future inspired by flexibility and freedom of thought, a love for learning, self-confidence and moral commitment.
